Organization of service in hotels and tourist complexes

A graduate in the specialty 100105 "Organization of service in hotels and tourist complexes", in accordance with the goals of the main professional educational program and the tasks of professional activity, must have the following competencies:
a) general (OK):
 
OK1. To be able to organize their own activities, choose methods and ways of performing professional tasks, evaluate their effectiveness and quality;
OK2. Solve problems, make decisions in standard and non-standard situations, show initiative and responsibility;
OK3. Search, interpret and use the information necessary for the effective performance of professional tasks, professional and personal development;
OK4. Use information and communication technologies in professional activities;
OK5. Be able to work in a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, management, clients;
OK6. Take responsibility for the work of team members (subordinates) and their training at the workplace, for the result of completing tasks;
OK7. Manage their own personal and professional development, adapt to changes in working conditions and technologies in professional activities;
OK8. Be prepared for organizational and managerial work with small teams;
b) professional (PC), corresponding to the main types of professional activity:
Reservation of hotel services:
PC1. Take orders from consumers and process them;
PC2. Book, inform the consumer about the booking and maintain documentation;
Reception, accommodation and discharge of guests:
PC3. Receive, register and accommodate guests;
PC4. Provide the guest with information and take part in the conclusion of contracts for the provision of hotel and tourism services;
PC5. Make settlements with guests, organize departure and seeing off guests;
PC6. Coordinate the night audit and handover process at the end of the shift.
Organization of guest service during the stay:
PC7. Organize and control the work of maintenance and technical personnel of the economic service in the provision of services
 
accommodation, additional services, cleaning of rooms and office premises;
PC8. Organize and perform work on the provision of catering services in rooms (room-service);
PC9. Keep records of equipment and inventory of the hotel and tourist complex;
PC10. Create conditions to ensure the safety of things and valuables of residents;
Hotel product sales:
PC11. Identify, generate demand and stimulate the sale of hotel services;
PC12. Assess the competitiveness of the hotel services provided.
PC13. Participate in the development of the marketing mix and in conducting marketing research;
Personnel Management:
PC14. To take part in the staffing of a hotel or a tourist complex with workers of the necessary professions, specialties and qualifications.
PC15. To take part in the design and development of personnel documentation of a hotel or a tourist complex based on a standard one.
PC16. Take part in the organization and conduct of events to improve the skills of the service and technical staff of the hotel or tourist complex, as well as in assessing their professional competence.
